Hi! My name is Emilie and I attended the TNA house show in Paris. Here is my report!
I’d say that half the venue was filled (almost 3000 people in attendance), which surprised me a bit as I thought that less people would show up due to the rescheduling. To be honest with you, I was really pissed off when I read on your website that the show was canceled and then rescheduled due to a show in support of Haiti. I seriously don’t understand why they decided to organize the show on Sunday as the venue was available on Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday, and Thursday, and Friday! This was disrespectful not only for TNA who booked the venue months ago but also for us, the fans! And their show was f***ing free! Don’t get me wrong, the show was a very good idea but they totally could have asked people to donate by doing something in a studio! Anyway…
Before the show started, Dixie Carter was posing with fans who could hold what I suppose was Styles’ championship or at least a replica. I thought that was really cool of her.
Jeremy Borash was the ring announcer and was accompanied by a French announcer, Celian Varini (he comments TNA shows in France) who translated everything, like we needed him! JB started by saying that the whole crew was really happy to be in Paris for the first time ever and said that they would give backstage passes to the loudest fans. Then someone came and said that the British Invasion didn’t want to see anyone backstage but basically JB said screw the British Invasion, we’ll give those passes!
