The era of the three-hour episodes of WWE SmackDown is reportedly coming to an end very soon.
Back in September, it was reported by WrestleVotes that WWE SmackDown would return to its two-hour format in June after an extended run of three-hour episodes.
On a recent episode of the Backstage Pass Podcast, WrestleVotes confirmed his original story and confirmed that SmackDown will return to two hours in June. Most likely starting with the June 6 episode of the show.
Dave Meltzer has also backed up this report on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.
Triple H himself confirmed that the three-hour episodes of SmackDown wouldn’t be permanent on an episode of the Pat McAfee Show earlier this year, stating:
“Yes. [SmackDown is three hours] for right now, and then it switches back to two,” Triple H added.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on SmackDown moving back to two hours as it becomes available.
