John Cena hopes his character gets resurrected for the latest movie inThe Fast and the Furious franchise.
The 16-time WWE Champion appeared Fast X, the most recent edition of the movie series. John Cena portrayed Jakob Toretto in the movie, playing the brother of the character played by Vin Diesel.
However, in his second appearance in the series, Fast X, he succumbed to a fiery end. Jakob Toretto saved Dominic Toretto’s son from the film’s antagonist, sacrificing himself in the process.
However, this may not be the last we see of John Cena in the The Fast and the Furious series. A number of characters have died and come back to life. These include Letty Ortiz, Han Lue and Gisele Yashar, and the WWE legend could be the next one to inexplicably return without explanation.
John Cena on a potential ‘Fast’ return
John Cena spoke with Club Shay Shay, and was asked if he would like to return for Fast 11. The former WWE Champion revealed he would love to return, simply because it is an action movie about cars.
He noted how characters have died and come back to life before, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to see him appear in the latest movie.
“I would be in The Fast and the Furious as long as they would have me because it’s an action movie about cars.” John Cena told Club Shay Shay. “So that franchise I’m a fan of. To be invited in is awesome. “
“But, uh, I did have a pretty big fiery wreck in the last one. I know that they have a reputation for resurrecting characters. I hope I made it. They didn’t have a funeral for me, so I’m okay. I’m okay. But I hope I made it. I hope I can do the next one.”
