Willow Nightingale Has Been Focused On Kris Statlander, Wants To Go ‘International Again’ With CMLL Women’s Title

One of AEW’s popular stars is former TBS Champion Willow Nightingale. She is currently the CMLL World Women’s Champion.

Recently, while speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show podcast, Willow Nightingale discussed her goals as the current CMLL World Women’s Champion. She mentioned that she hopes to do more international tours as the Champion.

“I think one of my personal favorite things about wrestling for AEW is that I have like independent roots. I was an Indie wrestler for six or maybe seven years or so before I actually started there. And I remember when I first got signed I remember I had a tour scheduled with TJPW for ten days. And I remember thinking to myself, ‘Well, I better enjoy this. Cuz this is like the last time I am going to probably travel, and grind, and see the world, and do all of this.’ And through working with AEW I have been able to even expand upon that and travel even more with our international partners.”

Willow Nightingale is focused on her feud with Kris Statlander

During the same interview, Nightingale mentioned that she is still focused on her rivalry with Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway.

“Of course, right now I am very focused on what’s happening with Kris Statlander and Stokley Hathaway. And that’s where my attention has been for the majority of this title run. But, I am super duper confident in myself and I know I am going to be able to defend this bad boy and go international again. And go to Mexico. That’s my big goal.

“And to me, that feels like the most ‘me thing’ I could do. It’s like, ‘Yes, take care of my business in AEW.’ But also where else can I be made to be seen and around the people. Making my name out there doing the work. And I think the big part of me healing is just… Of course, it’s a big obstacle. My friend broke my heart. But what else are the things that are going to bring me joy? And that’s professional wrestling,” Willow Nightingale said.
