The semifinal match in the WWE Speed Number One Contender’s Tournament is set.
The Number One Contender’s Tournament continued on the August 21 episode of WWE Speed. Joaquin Wilde took on Pete Dunne, and “The Bruiserweight” emerged victorious as he pinned the LWO member with the Bitter End. In the semifinals, Dunne will clash with NXT star Je’Von Evans. WWE Speed Champion Andrade will face the winner of that match.
Dunne is coming off a loss on the August 20 episode of WWE NXT. He competed in a Number One Contender’s Match for the NXT Championship. Trick Williams interfered and cost him the match, as Hendry scored the pin.
