Chase U will defend the gold at WWE NXT No Mercy.
On the August 13 episode of WWE NXT, Andre Chase and Ridge Holland of Chase U won the NXT Tag Team Championship by dethroning Axiom and Nathan Frazer.
The following week, Chase U celebrated their victory. Axiom and Frazer interrupted and made it clear that they wanted a rematch. Chase U members Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne stepped up and told Axiom and Frazer that they might be able to earn a rematch if they beat the duo.
Frazer and Axiom answered the challenge, and they went on to beat the Chase U duo in a hard-fought match. Axiom pinned Osborne after a double-team move. The broadcast team then questioned whether the rematch for the titles would happen at NXT No Mercy.
WWE later confirmed the title match for NXT No Mercy.
