Bryan Danielson Provides Update On Getting Neck Surgery, His Future With AEW

Once he’s done with wrestling full-time, Bryan Danielson‘s first order of business will be getting his neck taken care of.

Bryan Danielson has already made it clear that 2024 will be his last year as a full-time wrestler. He has also said that he will likely need to have neck surgery soon. At AEW All in, Danielson will out his career on the line when he challenges Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Bryan Danielson revealed that he was working without an AEW contract heading into AEW All In. He was then asked about staying with AEW.

“Tony and I have talked, and I’ll always pick up the phone when he calls, if I’m by my phone,” he said. “But anything with that sort of thing, the first thing that I have to is when I’m kind of done wrestling that’s in my priority is [getting] my neck better, which probably involves some sort of neck surgery sooner rather than later.

“So that would be my first kind of order of business. Then I’ll help AEW where I can. I love AEW, so I want to help as much as I can. As much as they want my help, I’m willing to participate.”
