The Street Profits Want To Remind People Who They Are, Regain WWE Tag Titles

The Street Profits are on the road back to becoming WWE Tag Team Champions.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins picked up a big win over A-Town Down Under on Smackdown. With the victory, they advanced to the #1 Contender’s Match on the August 16 episode of WWE SmackDown.

The Street Profits spoke to Byron Saxton backstage on YouTube following their win on Smackdown. They were asked about their three-year draught as tag team champions and their upcoming match against #DIY.

B-Fab began by noting that beating A-Town Down Under helped them get momentum on their “road to the gold.” She added that it is a long time since they have been champions, but that “time is coming to an end.”

“Byron, what you saw was exactly what we needed. And that was a win to get the momentum so that we can get back on the road to gold, to get the titles back to The Street Profits like they deserve. It’s been a long, long time since they’ve held that goal, like we talked about earlier. But that time is coming to an end. Time to get back to the gold.”

Montez Ford took over, adding that the team had lost themselves recently, and they were stagnant. He said that The Street Profits want to remind people who they are as they try to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships.

“You know what, Byron? You’re right. We’ve manifested it, went out there and did what we always do. Find a way. And this time period, Dogs, the peaks and valleys, the highs and lows—it seems like we lost ourselves a little bit. Got a little stagnant. Stagnant to the point that people forgot who The Street Profits were. So, step by step, over the next couple of weeks, we’ll kindly remind you all exactly who we are. We’re no strangers to this field; you are.”

The Street Profits Are On A Journey For Championship Gold

Angelo Dawkins then shared his thoughts as he spoke about Street Profits’ journey to become WWE Tag Team Champions again. He admitted that the duo has had ups and downs, but they plan to get right back to the top once again.

“We ain’t no strangers to disrespect, either. Everybody thinks The Street Profits are down and out. You saw what happened out there. A Town Down Under, they thought we were down and out. Now they’re out of the tournament. Now we’re on to the next round. ‘Cause we’ve got a journey for championship gold.”

“Now we’re finna go scout the next match, you know what I’m saying? And see who we’re gonna be facing next week. You know what I’m saying? In person, scouting detail. Like you said, man, so many peaks and valleys. Now we just gotta break through and get to the mountaintop. That’s the only option. The Street Profits are up, and we want the smoke.”

The Street Profits are setting a date for The Bloodline: SmackDown exclusive, Aug. 9, 2024
