AEW Rampage Results (8/9): Saraya, Darby Allin, Wheeler Yuta, More

All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the August 9 episode of AEW Rampage.

The lineup included Saraya facing Nyla Rose, Darby Allin taking on The Butcher in singles competition, and Wheeler Yuta battling Rocky Romero. Additionally, Private Party competed, and fans heard from the ROH World Six-Man Champion Dustin Rhodes,

The results are as follows:

Darby Allin vs. The Butcher

The Butcher overpowers Allin and controls the bout early on. He sends Allin into the steel steps and continues to dominate. Allin dodges a charging Butcher, sending him into the barricade. He dives onto Butcher at ringside. Back in the ring, Allin keeps fighting. Butcher takes control again and maintains the advantage. He slams Allin into the barricade and the ring post.

Allin rallies and dives onto Butcher at ringside. He keeps rolling with some Coffin Splashes. Butcher powerbombs him for a two-count. Allin fires up and hits a Code Red and Coffin Drop for the win.

Winner: Darby Allin

Footage of RUSH expressing his frustration after his match on AEW Dynamite plays. Don Callis says this isn’t what he signed up for. He wonders if RUSH will do anything to be the man they want him to be. Callis says no more talking, as he will face Preston Vance on AEW Collision. He says he wants RUSH to hurt Vance and send him to the hospital.

The footage of Hangman Page attacking Jeff Jarrett backstage after AEW Dynamite plays. Jay Lethal then cuts a promo, saying he’s tired of watching Page do whatever he wants. He says he’s had enough of Page attacking Jarrett, and he’s stepping up to face him on AEW Dynamite.

Wheeler Yuta Takes On Rocky Romero

Wheeler Yuta vs. Rocky Romero

Yuta and Romero feel each other out early on. Yuta gains the upper hand, and they continue to battle for positioning. Romero goes for an arm-bar, and Yuta fights out of it. They keep going back and forth. Yuta dumps Romero with a suplex. The two competitors trade blows. Yuta dives onto Romero at ringside. Back in the ring, Romero grounds Yuta. Yuta fires up with some strikes. Romero gains the upper hand again. He drops Yuta with a Sliced Bread on the floor.

Yuta rallies and levels Romero with a lariat. They trade blows. Yuta slams Romero to the mat. Romero takes Yuta down with a hurricanrana and gets a two-count with Sliced Bread. Yuta spikes Romero with a Tombstone and scores the win with Cattle Mutilation.

Winner: Wheeler Yuta

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland is shown watching backstage.

Backstage, Willow Nightingale is asked about her loss to Kris Statander. Willow discusses the downfall of her friendship with Statlander. Tomohiro Ishii shows up and notes that he doesn’t like Statlander and Stokely Hathaway. Nightingale teases that she has an idea.

Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) vs. Dave Dawson & Zane Dawson

Kassidy gains the upper hand early on. Quen tags in, but the Dawsons overpower Private Party. Private Party rallies, and they hit the Silly String for a two-count. Private Party keeps rolling, and they score the win with the Gin and Juice.

Winners: Private Party

Deonna Purrazzo discusses her rivalry with Thunder Rosa in a vignette and looks forward to their Texas Bull Rope match.

Backstage, Dustin Rhodes comments on winning the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. He notes that Sammy Guevara told him he wanted to earn his trust. Rhodes says he wants more, and he calls out ROH World Tag Team Champions Michael Bennett and Matt Taven. They interrupt, and Taven says he doesn’t deserve a title shot. Bennett says they rule the kingdom of ROH. Taven says they’re there to shatter his dreams. Bennett kicks Rhodes below the belt.

Saraya Battles Nyla Rose

Nyla Rose vs. Saraya (with Harley Cameron)

Saraya knocks Rose off the apron during her entrance and sends her into the steel steps. She controls the action. Rose slams Saraya and crushes her with a splash in the corner. Saraya traps Rose in the apron and unloads with a series of strikes. Back in the ring, Saraya maintains the advantage.

Rose fires up and again overpowers Saraya. Saraya drills her with a knee strike. She hits the Night Cap for a two-count. Rose gets a two-count with a kick. Harley Cameron distracts the referee after Rose slams Saraya. Rose rocks Cameron with a shot to the face.

Saraya kicks Rose. Back in the ring, Saraya falls on top of Rose, and Cameron holds her legs down to secure the three count.

Winner: Saraya
