Britt Baker’s Suspension Lifted, Baker References Mercedes Moné Leaving WWE

Britt Baker‘s suspension is over.

TBS Champion Mercedes Moné previously announced that Britt Baker had been suspended by her good friends The Young Bucks, as Baker had been making her life miserable on AEW Dynamite. However, Baker was reportedly suspended in actuality due to a backstage incident with MJF.

On the August 7 episode of AEW Dynamite, Moné said that Baker was not there, and she gloated about the suspension. Tony Schiavone then announced that Tony Khan had lifted the suspension. He revealed that Baker was there via satellite. Baker sent a message to the champion. She said that she was all in, whereas the second things did not go Moné’s way, she took her ball and went home. This was a clear shot at Moné walking out on WWE in 2022.

Baker is set to challenge Moné for the TBS Championship at AEW All In. She is a former AEW Women’s World Champion, and she will aim to win more gold.

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW All In as it airs on August 25.

Britt Baker On Mercedes Moné

Baker previously said that Moné’s arrival in AEW was the best thing for her career. Speaking on Close Up with Renee Paquette, she discussed Moné joining the company and commented on how it benefitted her. She noted that it made fans want to see her come back.

“This might be a little arrogant of me, but I’m going to say it anyway. I think one of the best things that happened to me in my career, in my position where I’m at, was Mercedes coming here. It was almost like I heard the bird calls for Britt Baker to come back because the shiny new toy isn’t so shiny when it’s right in front of your face. So let’s bring that old toy back that we know is tried and true and always going to be there.

“For me, again, the best thing that happened in my career was Mercedes Moné starting her AEW career. It made people want to see me back, put her in her place, and show her what AEW is really about.”
