Tony Khan says the future is bright.
With AEW’s media rights deal coming up, the company has been negotiating with Warner Bros. Discovery, their current partner. AEW CEO Tony Khan was set to meet with David Zaslav, President and Chief Executive Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery, in Paris.
Khan seemingly commented on the meeting in a tweet, as he thanked David Zaslav and WBD for having him in Paris. Khan then wrote that it was an exciting time, and the future was “very bright” for AEW.

Khan previously commented on the talks with WBD. Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Khan emphasized that it was an exciting time for the company.
“Oh man! We’re… Such an exciting time for AEW,” Khan said. “We are in great conversations with our partners at Warner Bros. Discovery. It’s a real blessing to me and I think to everyone in AEW that we are able to put wrestling on TBS and TNT every week. When I grew up, and I think for you guys too growing up, wrestling on TBS and TNT was a big part of our childhoods. There was no wrestling on TNT for about 18 years.
“And there was no wrestling on TBS for 20 years. So it meant a lot to bring that back. Because, in particular, on TBS that tradition goes back over 50 years. And I love it here. And so, we’re having great talks. It means the world to be able to do this. And we are in deep, exciting conversations. There’s a lot to figure out because we have these great shows with AEW Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision.”
