Bryan Danielson Reflects On How His Feelings On Vince McMahon Have Changed

Bryan Danielson comments on the allegations against Vince McMahon.

Bryan Danielson was previously one of WWE’s top stars for several years, and he spent over a decade with the company. During this run, he became a five-time world champion. After he left the company and signed with AEW in 2021, he discussed his exit in a piece he wrote for The Player’s Tribune. In one highlight, he wrote that he wished that more people could see Vince McMahon the way that he did. Since then, Janel Grant has filed a lawsuit against McMahon, alleging sex trafficking and sexual assault.

Speaking on Gorilla Position, Bryan Danielson discussed how his feelings on Vince McMahon had changed. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling),

“First and foremost, I want to say people that have been hurt are in a way worse position than I am,” Bryan Danielson said. “My empathy goes to them. There’s not a lot I want to say about it, honestly, because it’s not just the Vince piece, but my father-in-law [John Laurinaitis], or maybe ex-father-in-law, as far as that kind of stuff goes. You think of somebody in some way, and then something happens and it changes. And that’s always hard. But like I said, as hard as that may be for me emotionally … It’s way worse for people who have been victimized by people in power.”

Bryan Danielson is set to headline AEW All In, where he will challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship.
