Bron Breakker has come close to WWE gold before, as he lost to WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at WWE Money in the Bank. However, heading into their match at WWE SummerSlam, he thinks the outcome could be different.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated ahead of their match on Saturday, Breakker says this weekend will be a “turning point” for him.
“This weekend is a huge turning point,” Bron Breakker. said “If I can go out there and do it right, it’s going to set the bar for what I can be in the future.”
For Breakker, he said, this match is his biggest opportunity ever. He noted that it would determine if he’s going to become a “main-event player” or “just another guy.”
“It’s the biggest opportunity of my career,” Breakker said. “Am I going to be a main-event player? Or am I going to be another guy? I’m challenging myself to give that answer this weekend at SummerSlam.”
Shawn Michaels On Bron Breakker

“He has all the tools to have a run like Goldberg or Steve Austin or Roman Reigns,” Michaels said. “He’s as gifted as they come.”
“I think the world of both Scotty and Rick, but he’s better than both of them already, and I mean that in the nicest way. He could maul a human being with his hands, but he chooses to allow the rest of us to live in this world.”
