MJF On Adam Cole: I Broke His Nuts And His Spine, He’s Not Coming Back

MJF brushes off the idea that Adam Cole is coming back after he attacked him.

MJF and Adam Cole were previously friends and tag team partners. Cole then betrayed MJF, as he was revealed as The Devil. The former AEW World Champion was absent for several months after Cole turned on him. He returned at AEW Double or Nothing. There, he kicked Cole below the belt and spiked him with a brainbuster. Cole hasn’t been seen since.

During an interview with The Wrestling Classic, MJF was asked about Adam Cole. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)

“Isn’t he dead? Didn’t I kill him? I broke his nuts, and then I broke his spine,” MJF said.” I mean, it was pretty straightforward. He’s never coming back to wrestling, and I think we can all agree. Bad guy, not a nice guy. If anyone is upset with the way I’m acting, call Cole because it is not on me.”

Cole remains sidelined with an ankle injury that he suffered at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2023.

MJF’s Current Run

MJF had a brief run as a babyface upon his return. However, he turned on Daniel Garcia on the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite. He later beat Will Ospreay to win the AEW International Championship. MJF subsequently named the title the AEW American Championship. He will defend the gold against Ospreay at AEW All In.

Meanwhile, he is also set to defend the title at the CMLL event on August 2. He will also put the title on the line at RevPro Summer Sizzler.

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on Wednesday.
