CM Punk is not pushing AJ Lee to come back to the WWE with him.
The former WWE Divas Champion is one of the most talked about former stars at the moment. She hasn’t wrestled since 2015, following victories at WrestleMania 31 and the following Monday Night Raw.
She retired immediately after her final match, and hasn’t been seen in the ring since. AJ Lee did appear alongside her husband CM Punk in the TV show “Heels“, as well as the executive producer from Women of Wrestling in 2021.
While it has been nearly a decade since her last match, CM Punk selfishly wants to see his wife back in the WWE with him.
CM Punk spoke to Tom from Ringside Collectibles at San Diego Comic-Con. He was asked about the possibility of AJ Lee returning to the WWE, whether on a full-time basis or simply on a Legends deal.
The former WWE Champion remained coy on the subject. He said he is not pushing her to return, but noted that he’d love to “make out with my wife on television again”
“I’m the wrong guy to ask those questions about, you know, um, my stance. And I know there’s a lot out there of that,” CM Punk explained. “But I certainly am not pushing her to do anything. I think she knows that there are options.”
“I think she sees how happy I am and how things are different.” CM Punk added. “But if the right situation presented itself, it would have to be a discussion between her and certain people, and I don’t necessarily want to be in the middle of that just because it could get kind of, you know, weird. Selfishly, yes, I would love to make out with my wife on television again.”
