Oedo Tai Faction Recruits Saya Kamitani, Changes Name To ‘HATE’

The notorious Oedo Tai faction officially sits atop the STARDOM hierarchy following Natsuko Tora’s World of Stardom Championship win.

At this past Sunday’s STARDOM Sapporo World Rendezvous, Queen’s Quest’s sole member Saya Kamitani shocked the STARDOM audience when she turned on Maika during the latter’s title defense against Natsuko Tora from Oedo Tai.

Maika and Natsuko Tora had gone on an intense back-and-forth to gain the upper hand on one another. Once Maika landed a modified version of her signature Michinoku Driver, Saya Kamitani pulled the referee out of the ring just as he was about to count to three.

Maika, distraught by her ally’s actions, would then fall victim to Natsuko Tora’s blue mist and Death Valley Driver to lose the World of Stardom Championship.

Oedo Tai officially renamed to HATE

After the match, Natsuko Tora stated that Oedo Tai was no more and that they would now be referred to as HATE. “Today marks the end of Oedo Tai. A new unit has been born with [Saya] Kamitani, Konami, Thekla, Rina, Momo [Watanabe], and Ruaka! From today on, we will take over this promotion and become the number one heel group in the world of women’s professional wrestling,” she says.

HATE currently has the most members of any faction in STARDOM, with eight, including Fukigen Death. Konami was also a recent addition following her betrayal of her former partner Syuri to help Oedo Tai win the Goddess of Stardom tag belts from them.

As Natsuko Tora is now the World of Stardom Champion, she then decided to forfeit her spot in the 5STAR Grand Prix to her fellow HATE member Ruaka after the show.

With Saya Kamitani joining HATE, the Queen’s Quest faction is now defunct. All of its previous members have officially left the group and have found new alliances in NEO GENESIS (AZM and Miyu Amasaki) and God’s Eye (Lady C and Hina).
