A new report provides an update on Jon Moxley‘s absence from AEW.
Jon Moxley has not wrestled since AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 30th. There, he lost the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to Tetsuya Naito.
Dave Meltzer addressed Moxley’s absence in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as he wrote that AEW granted him some time off. Melzter also stated that Moxley had not been backstage at AEW shows in recent weeks.
Moxley, a three-time AEW World Champion, has been one of the faces of the company for the duration of his time there. He is also a former AEW International Champion.
As of this writing, there is no word on when Moxley will return to AEW. WrestleZone will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
