Corey Graves Seemingly Reacts To Jack Perry Taking Unprotected Chair Shot To The Head

This past Wednesday night was a special edition of AEW Dynamite. It was the annual Blood & Guts event. The Blood & Guts match between Team Elite and Team AEW was the main event of the night. While the match as a whole received a lot of positive responses from the wrestling fans, at least one person did not have the same reaction. That was none other than WWE Raw commentator Corey Graves.

Graves did not ridicule or criticize the match as a whole. He was rather a bit taken aback by a certain ‘dangerous’ spot.

The two teams in the match were as follows, Team Elite had the Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry, and Hangman Adam Page. Team AEW had Swerve Strickland, The Acclaimed, Darby Allin, and Mark Briscoe. At one point in the match, Mark Briscoe took a steel chair and began to hit The Scape Goat Jack Perry right on the head. This did not sit well with Corey Graves. He is also a former wrestler whose career was cut short due to too many concussions.

Corey Graves took to Twitter to give a small piece of advice to the wrestlers suggesting that they shouldn’t risk their careers for the sake of entertainment.

“This is not meant to sound judgmental, or incite “us vs. them” or question anybody’s passion, or talent, or intentions. This is just coming from a guy whose career ended from a few too many ACCIDENTAL headshots. The ART of the business is protecting ourselves and each other. Trust me… The gaps in memory are not worth it. I promise,” Graves wrote in his now-deleted tweet.
