MJF: AEW Is Boring Without Me, I’m The Most Interesting Man In Pro Wrestling

MJF has thinks AEW is lucky that he came back when he did.

The former AEW Champion lost his title at AEW World’s End to Samoa Joe. Adam Cole led a group to attack him, turning on his best friend and completing a plan that was months in the making.

He took nearly six months off, rehabbing a shoulder injury that had plagued him for some time. MJF returned at Double or Nothing. He attacked Adam Cole, reverting to his much-lauded heel character for the first time in a year.

This was the best thing for AEW, according to MJF. He spoke recently with Sports Illustrated, where the AEW star claimed he had been carrying the promotion for the past five years.

MJF claimed that the company needs him, calling it “boring” without him.

“I’ve been carrying this company for five years on my back.” MJF said. “People need MJF. It’s that simple. This company needs MJF. Fortunately, they’ve got me.”

“What’s this company without MJF? It’s boring. This is the most people have talked about my company in months. Thank me later. If you’re not going to give me my just due now, you’ll have to when it’s all said and done.”

MJF Says He’s The Most Interesting Man In Wrestling

MJF continued. He spoke very highly of himself, proclaiming himself to be the “most interesting man in professional wrestling”.

He points out that people refuse to admit that fact. MJF likened himself to Randy Orton and John Cena, who fans have also criticized over the years. He spoke like a true heel in the interview, so there is no confusion where his character is at nowadays.

“I’m the most interesting man in professional wrestling,” said Friedman. “I’ve been that way since I laced up a pair of boots. There are two types of people: the ones who admit I’m probably the greatest overall package in the history of this sport, and then there are people who want to pretend they know better.”

“They won’t admit what’s right in front of them. For years, people said John Cena was not the GOAT. They said Randy Orton was boring. Those people actually exist in the world. Those are the type of the people who see mediocrity when they look in the mirror, and you can quote me on that.”
