TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose speaks highly of Joe Hendry.
Joe Hendry is quickly becoming a breakout star, as he has gone viral online, and he has been crossing over onto NXT. He is also rising up the ranks in TNA, as he will challenge for the world title at TNA Slammiversary.
Speaking with Cultaholic‘s Tom Campbell, Moose praised Joe Hendry. (H/t Jack Atkins of Cultaholic for the transcription)
“Joe is a very hard worker and everything he’s getting right now he 100% deserves. I tell Joe all the time – I’m almost like Joe’s little coach in his head – I tell him all the time, ‘you’re on the cusp, you’re in the cusp of being the next John Cena. So just keep trucking and keep hitting wood. You know, you’re you’re right there.’ I mean, he’s right there to be like the next John Cena. I’m so very happy for him, and it just shows that hard work pays off,” said Moose.
Yeah, Joe is the man and I know how extremely hard he works and I’m happy that he’s getting his flowers and he deserves it, but he’s not done. The funny thing is the sky is the limit. He’s just breaking through right now like he’s not even hit stardom yet, everybody thinks he’s hit stardom but he’s not even close to it because I think when it’s all said and done, he’s going to be like I said, the next John Cena. That’s my opinion, but you’ll see.”
Despite his kind words, Moose also vowed to beat Joe Hendry and retain his title at TNA Slammiversary.
