Money In The Bank 2024 Sets WWE Gate Record In Canada

WWE continues to set records with its latest edition of Money in the Bank in Canada.

The 2024 edition of the event was broadcast live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on July 7th. It featured a five-match card, including two Money in the Bank ladder matches, two title matches, and a six-man main event.

The show saw Canadian superstar Sami Zayn retaining his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker. The crowd was also elated to Drew McIntyre winning the Money in the Bank ladder match, before having his cash-in attempt thwarted by CM Punk.

It was a great show all road, but more importantly, it broke multiple records for the WWE in Canada. In a recent press release, the company boasted a record gate for the event. They revealed Money in the Bank 2024 was the “highest-grossing WWE arena event in Canada in company history.”

In addition, it was the most-viewed Money in the Bank event in history, merchandise sales were up from last-years record numbers, and the show set a revenue record for “fan experience packages offered by exclusive partner On Location”.

Whichever way you measure it, the event was a massive success for the WWE. WWE President Nick Khan commented on the success of the event in the press release. He attributed the success to Triple H, the media and production team and the fans who attended the events that weekend.

“Weekends that bring visitors en masse to our host cities play an important part in our planning process.” WWE President Nick Khan said. “The results are a testament to our Superstars. Our creative team led by Paul Levesque. Our media & production team led by Lee Fitting. And, most importantly, our fans who both attended and created our massive viewership.”
