AJ Francis To Defend Two Titles Against PCO At TNA Slammiversary

AJ Francis will put two titles on the line against PCO at TNA Slammiversary.

The former WWE star will be putting his TNA Digital Media Championship on the line against the Canadian star in Montreal on July 20th. He is also wagering his new International Heavyweight Championship, a belt he recently purchased and claimed him to be champion, Ted DiBiase style.

He claimed that the International Heavyweight title has significant roots in Canada. AJ Francis claims it has been held by legends like of Lou Thesz, Abdullah The Butcher, and Dino Bravo. While this is almost certainly false, it hasn’t stopped PCO from chasing the gold.

The Quebec wrestling legend will challenge AJ Francis for both titles at TNA Slammiversary. The show is taking place in Verdun Auditorium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, so he should be a fan-favorite in front of a hometown crowd.

However, this match does hinge on AJ Francis keeping his title until July 20th. He will need to defend his belt against Rhino next week on TNA Impact. If he is successful, then AJ Francis will face PCO in Quebec with both of his belts on the line.

TNA Wrestling Tweeted out about the match, confirming it for TNA Slammiversary subject to this week’s match. They wrote:

“BREAKING: If @AJFrancis410 retains NEXT WEEK on #TNAiMPACT he will defend both the TNA Digital Media Championship AND International Heavyweight Wrestling Championship against @PCOisNotHuman at #TNASlammiversary on July 20! Streaming LIVE on TNA+ from the Verdun Auditorium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada!”

AJ Francis won the TNA Digital Media Championship from Laredo Kid. He has been busy being champion while PCO has been making his own special burgers at La Belle et La Boeuf.
