The rivalry between HOOK and Chris Jericho continued at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, as they clashed in a trios bout.
HOOK teamed up with Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata to face Jericho, Big Bill, and Jeff Cobb at the pay-per-view. Cobb replaced Bryan Keith, who was unable to compete due to injury. Keith was still at ringside for the bout, and he interfered at multiple points, hoping to help Jericho clinch the win. However, HOOK and his team persevered.
The finish of the match saw HOOK kick out of an inside cradle and pin Jericho after hitting him with his own Judas Effect.

HOOK goes for the Redrum. Jericho turns it into an inside cradle for a two-count. HOOK hits the Judas Effect for the win.
