Cody Rhodes: International Crowds Vibing With Me Has Been Eye-Opening

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is having the experience of a lifetime when he performs at international premium live events.

Speaking on Behind The Turnbuckle, Cody Rhodes discussed how much he has enjoyed competing at WWE’s recent international premium live events.

“One of the things I’m enjoying most post-WrestleMania is all of these international PLEs. Backlash in France, we’re going to Berlin, going to Scotland,” Cody Rhodes said. “I have no clue why the audience vibes with me as basically the big dumb American with the American flag tattooed on the side of his neck. Internationally is sometimes where I get the most love.

“Again, I didn’t have a college experience, so this is my global education, my connection with sports entertainment and with pro wrestling fans worldwide, and I am so thankful I’ve been able to do that. I’d understand if they didn’t want to cheer for me in France, in Saudi, I’d understand. But they just completely have jumped on board with it, and internationally, that’s just been very eye-opening.”

Cody Rhodes Thanks Nick Khan

Cody Rhodes then thanked WWE President Nick Khan, as he noted that he was making these shows possible.

“Again, big dumb American from the state of Georgia, I’ve got to learn so much from being able to do these international PLEs, so big shoutout to Nick Khan, who’s making all these possible because it’s really giving me the experience of a lifetime,” he said.
