Drew McIntyre Attacks And Bloodies CM Punk, Punk Stretchered Out On WWE SmackDown

Drew McIntyre didn’t wait long to get revenge, as he attacked CM Punk on WWE SmackDown.

At WWE Clash at the Castle, Drew McIntyre challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship in his home country of Scotland. CM Punk interfered and cost McIntyre the match, and “The Scottish Warrior” was so infuriated that he quit WWE on the June 17 episode of WWE SmackDown.

CM Punk then appeared on the June 21 episode of WWE SmackDown. At the beginning of the show, Punk faced off with The Bloodline. Later on, loud banging could be heard backstage. The source was revealed to be Drew McIntyre, who was standing over a bloodied CM Punk. McIntyre then carried Punk over his shoulders all the way to the stage. He then dropped Punk to the ground.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and other officials came out. McIntyre shoved Aldis, who got in his face. Punk was then loaded onto a stretcher and taken out. He was subsequently shown getting loaded into an ambulance.

Later in the show, Kayla Braxton said that Drew McIntyre told her, “See you on Monday,” implying that he would be on WWE RAW on June 24. She also said that Punk would be spending the night in a local medical facility so he could be further evaluated.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
