The road to determining WWE Speed Champion Andrade’s challenger is underway.
A new #1 Contender’s Tournament began on the June 19 episode of WWE Speed. In first-round action, Xavier Woods of the New Day scored the win when he faced Dijak. The tournament will continue on June 26, when Akira Tozawa will clash with Nathan Frazer.
Reigning WWE Speed Champion Andrade will defend his title against the winner.
Xavier Woods then commented on the win in a digital exclusive as he vowed to prove Karrion Kross and everyone else wrong. He also praised Dijak by calling him a beast. Woods set his sights on Andrade and called him a hell of a talent before he said he intended to win his first singles title in WWE.
