Report: Ricochet Gives Notice To WWE, Won’t Be Renewing His Contract

Ricochet has reportedly informed WWE that he will be leaving the company when his contract expires over the summer.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ricochet has already informed WWE of his plans to depart the company. As a result, the former United States Champion will soon be written out of any WWE storyline involving him. While it’s not precisely known when Ricochet’s contract will expire, it’s said that it will end sometime in the summer.

A source close to WWE told PWInsider that they give credit to the superstar for “betting on himself.” It’s unclear if Ricochet has any particular company in mind. But he will no doubt be one of the hottest wrestling free agents to hit the market when he does.

Ricochet joined WWE in 2018 after enjoying a successful career across several promotions, including New Japan Pro-Wrestling, EVOLVE, Lucha Underground, and more. As a member of WWE, Ricochet held the WWE Intercontinental Championship, WWE United States Championship, and WWE NXT North American Championship and, most recently, was the inaugural winner of the WWE Speed Championship.
