Jey Uso has a new nickname.
Fans have made “fireflies” part of Jey Uso’s entrance, as they have been using the flashlight on their phones while chanting “Yeet.” Fireflies were famously part of Bray Wyatt’s entrance, and fans continue to use them in order to pay tribute to Wyatt following his passing.
Jey Uso took to Twitter to respond to a post that questioned whether fans liked the addition of “fireflies” to his entrance. He wrote that fans did not have a choice, as fireflies were his. Jey then called himself the “Yeeter of Worlds.”
Uso previously reflected on the fans’ response at WWE Backlash France. He noted that it felt like Bray Wyatt was showing him love with the fireflies.
Jey Uso will face Ilja Dragunov in the quarterfinals of the King of the Ring tournament on the May 13 episode of WWE RAW. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs on Monday.
Fans recently “Yeeted” in a nod to Uso at a Cleveland Cavaliers game. Click here to see what WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H had to say about Uso’s crossover.
