WWE is set to receive cash and non-cash incentives for bringing WrestleMania to Las Vegas.
WWE WrestleMania 41 was widely expected to be held in Minnesota, but Las Vegas gained momentum before it was ultimately revealed as the host city. The move was discussed during TKO’s first-quarter earnings call on May 8. TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer highlighted the importance of site fees. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)
“As we have stressed, site fees are a key area of focus for us,” Schleimer said. “This event includes a meaningful payment, as well as other cash and non-cash incentives.”
During the call, Schleimer also stated that WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth garnered a hefty site fee. Specifically, it was said to be WWE’s highest site fee ever, excluding premium live events not held in Saudi Arabia.
The Minnesota SE president has said that the shift from having WrestleMania in Minnesota was due to a change in direction by new ownership.
