Saudi Arabian Gov’t Wants To Host Royal Rumble Or WrestleMania, Teases ‘Enhancement’ To Existing WWE Deal

Saudi Arabia wants to host a major WWE premium live event.

Per Mike Coppinger of ESPN, a “strategic agreement” between Riyadh Season and the UFC will extend the partnership between the two sides, as announced by Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.

In addition to plans to hold a major UFC event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Alalshikh stated that an “enhancement” to Saudi Arabia’s agreement with WWE will be announced this month. Alalshikh noted that he wants to have Saudi Arabia host the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.

“We will do big things with the UFC and TKO,” Alalshikh told ESPN.

WWE has held at least one premium live event in Saudi Arabia every year since 2018. The company merged with UFC to form TKO in September 2023.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
