AEW All In backstage footage has been revealed.
During the April 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks sat down in a pre-taped segment for the anticipated backstage footage reveal. But first, they recapped their rivalry with FTR.
The Young Bucks looked back on facing FTR at AEW All In. They stated that, before their match, there was an incident involving two individuals, their “scapegoat” Jack Perry and someone who is good friends with FTR. While not directly named, they were obviously referring to CM Punk.
In light of the incident, the Bucks believe this affected their performance in London. They suggested that perhaps FTR were the masterminds behind it. They had to put on their EVP mindset and they were not as prepared to compete. Before rolling the tape, the Bucks said the incident was short and like a high school scrap. However, they claimed that the ramifications threatened to take down AEW’s biggest show ever.
The footage shows Punk walking up to Perry and the two have a conversation with many witnesses around including Samoa Joe, Aubrey Edwards, Paul Turner, and other producers. After apparent back and forth dialogue, Punk shoves Perry and tries to attack further but they are split up.
Punk appears to yell at Tony Khan as producers Chris Hero and Jerry Lynn back him up. Malakai Black can also be seen talking to Punk as they exit the frame. Khan’s monitor was nearly knocked over in the melee. Meanwhile, Joe was the one who pulled Perry across the room while HOOK was nearby.
FTR Responds
After, FTR made their way out to the ring and said they’re sick of talking about this. They are ready to move on and put it in the past. Wheeler said instead of focusing on their awesome shows each week, the Bucks refuse to let this go. Harwood then noted that without the Bucks, he might still be shaving Wheeler’s back, which was a reference to an old backstage segment in WWE.
From there, FTR said the Bucks are focused on the wrong three letters. But at Dynasty, they are focused on beating them again to regain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
