A new report provides an update on Stephanie McMahon’s status with WWE following her appearance at WWE WrestleMania 40.
Stephanie McMahon kicked off WrestleMania 40 Night Two and hyped up the crowd. In doing so, she made her return to WWE programming for the first time since she resigned in January 2023. During the post-show press conference, Triple H said that he was happy to have McMahon back home, and she belonged there.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that McMahon has not officially returned to WWE as an employee or executive in any way. Per Johnson, McMahon appeared on Sunday to give the audience a surprise and show her support for the company’s new era. As McMahon said herself, WWE is now in the Paul Levesque era, and sources noted that her promo was Stephanie’s way of putting her stamp of approval on it.
Fightful Select confirmed that McMahon has not officially returned, at least as of this writing.
