Bayley Feels Like WWE Women’s Title Win Feels Like A Win For The Fans

Last night on the second night of WrestleMania 40, the winner of the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Bayley, challenged her former friend and faction member IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship. After a hard-fought battle, the Role Model managed to pin Sky to become the new WWE Women’s Champion.

While speaking at the post-show Press Conference, the Role Model mentioned that the fans had also traveled along with her throughout this journey and had also been wanting a change in WWE for a long time. Thus this victory felt like it was one for the fans.

“It really does feel like that (The win is a win for the fans). I feel that they have come along [into] this new era with us. They wanted the change so much. And I felt the change as soon as I came back from my injury. The first time at SummerSlam in that locker room, I felt that it was different. And that was just being in Hunter’s presence. I felt everybody was excited for the future and had hope. And I think the fans have been feeling that too. It’s almost as if you guys are… You are doing it with us, coming along this ride. And even though there are disappointments and bumps, not everything can be perfect. But that’s part of the journey and part of the story.”

Bayley gives a shout-out to Indie Wrestler Jada Stone

During the same Press Conference, Bayley shared stories about a young star in the Indies, ‘The Spark’ Jada Stone. The Role Model mentioned how Stone would show up at arena parking lots just to see the Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection.

“And I think… You talk about women’s wrestling, this girl right here, Jada Spark [Jada Stone], she’s going to freak out that I’m wearing this right now. This girl used to wait by where we park the cars and wait for everybody to pull out and she would have Boss ’N’ Hug custom shoes drawn when we (Bayley and Sasha Banks) were Tag Team Champions. And she would wait out every single time, whatever city that was. And now she’s like wrestling on the Indies and she’s making a name for herself. One time I saw her as an extra. This is nuts. But that used to be me. So it’s just surreal. So real and surreal,” Bayley said.
