Triple H On Prime Mat Sponsor: No One Likes Change, But The Promotion You Get Is Massive

Triple H has discussed a big change coming in WWE.

Last month, Logan Paul announced a new sponsorship deal for WWE. His company, Prime, is sponsoring the WWE. Their logo will be featured on the ring mat, starting at WrestleMania 40 and continuing indefinitely.

This change has suffered some backlash from WWE fans. However, the company are continuing with the change, despite the negative feedback from the WWE Universe.

This is the first time the WWE have engaged in such a partnership. Triple H appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive to discuss the change, noting that it is a new WWE under the TKO brand.

“We’ve done little things here and there with logos. WCW did some a long time ago with logos. You see them in boxing. It’s tough in what we do. There’s a safety factor of the slipperiness of the ring, as you know. We’ve been going through this process and trying to get on the other side of that, and we were finally able to make it work, but it took a long time to get there. Well, it’s a different shift in philosophy.

“This is not the WWE that it was before. This is a WWE under TKO, and how they look at it and how they sell things different. That center mat logo is obviously like ‘holy ground’ in a way, and the fact that you’re here and such a big star, and yet your company, your Prime brand, is taking that real estate up, that’s a massive feather in your cap.”

Triple H: No-One Likes Change, People Will Get Used To It

Triple H talked about the fan’s reaction to the Prime bottle. He noted that people will hate it at first. However, he assured Logan Paul that they will eventually get used to it, so shouldn’t be an issue for the WWE going forward.

“No one likes change, right? And they’re so used to seeing this thing pristine with nothing there that I get 90% of people hate it. They’re going to hate it, they’re going to do all this stuff. And then, as you said, as you move forward, it’s just there, you know what I mean? And if you’re watching every single day, you stop. If you don’t like it, you stop noticing it. But the advertisement of it and the promotion you get out of it is massive.”
