This past Monday Night on Raw, the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, #DIY qualified to the Six-Pack Ladder match for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40. They defeated the Creed Brothers to earn their spot at the event.
This match is very special for both Gargano and Ciampa as this will be the first time the duo will be competing at WrestleMania. Johnny Gargano addressed this following their win on Raw.
“It’s been quite the road, but I’m proud to FINALLY be able to say #DIY is going to WrestleMania! #JohnnyWrestlingMania,” Johnny Gargano tweeted.
Johnny Gargano’s tag team partner and former NXT World Champion, Tommaso Ciampa, took to Instagram to share a post. He reminded fans that he had been in the professional wrestling business for almost two decades, and half of it was in the Stamford-based promotion. Despite all his accolades, the fact that he is heading to WrestleMania for the first time has still not sunk in.
Ciampa also appreciated the Creeds, shared love towards his family, and Johnny Gargano.
9 years in WWE. 19 years as professional wrestlers. It still hasn’t really sunk in.
