STARDOM President Taro Okada is backstage at AEW Dynamite.
In a tweet, Tony Khan posted a picture of himself with STARDOM President Taro Okada backstage at the show. He wrote that it was an honor to have Okada at the show on Wednesday. Khan also stated, “We are officially in business here tonight.”
It is not clear whether he was hinting at a potential working relationship between AEW and STARDOM, or if he was dropping another tease about AEW Dynamite: Big Business.
STARDOM recently entered a new era after Rossy Ogawa was terminated in February. The company has yet to collaborate much with AEW, but Khan’s post is sure to spark some buzz, especially on the eve of Mercedes Moné’s rumored debut. Moné wrestled for STARDOM once during her reign as IWGP Women’s Champion. At their All-Star Grand Queendom event in April 2023, she lost the title to Mayu Iwatani in a three-way match.
