He spits on the faces of people who don’t want to be cool. That was the entire gimmick of Carlito during his initial run in WWE.
For the majority of his run in WWE, the Caribbean Bad Apple played a heel. One of the major reasons for Carlito to ‘get over’ with the fans was the series of ‘heelish’ but also funny vignettes. But it seems to be the former WWE Intercontinental Champion’s vignettes were not fresh and original ideas. The Puerto Rico-born wrestler recently revealed that his vignettes were in fact a bunch of lazy redos of vignettes of WWE Hall of Famer Razor Ramon.
While speaking on the latest episode of the Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, the current LWO member opened up about his vignettes as the Caribbean Cool. He mentioned that while he was excited to do the skits, he later realized that they were nothing more than rip-offs from the vignettes of WWE Hall of Famer Razor Ramon.
“If you noticed, back in the day, my vignettes were all just a bunch of Razor Ramon rip-offs. I didn’t realize it until I was at the Hall of Fame for, I think for when they were inducting Razor Ramon, and I said, ‘Wait a minute, son of a… They just gave me lazy re-dos of the vignettes.
“In one of them, he was somewhere at a vendor, and he got some kind of fruit — I forgot what it was — and spat it at somebody, and then mine, my version was I was at the fruit stand, and when the guy asks for me to pay him, I took an apple, I bit it, and I spit on him,” Carlito said.
