Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins faced off in the aftermath of McIntyre’s win at WWE Elimination Chamber on the February 26 episode of WWE RAW.
In an in-ring promo, Drew McIntyre spoke about the injuries he suffered at Elimination Chamber, including a burst eardrum. McIntyre mocked CM Punk by noting that he wouldn’t miss WrestleMania the way Punk had to. He also took a shot at Punk and his straight-edge lifestyle by saying he drank enough for the both of them after his win. He then called out his opponent at WrestleMania 40, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
McIntyre sent Rollins a heated message by telling him to back off his fight against The Bloodline in order to preserve himself for their match. However, Rollins said that bigger things were wrong in WWE. The reigning champion went on to mention that no matter who wins at WrestleMania 40, The Bloodline will try and come for his title eventually.
Rollins said that their main priority should be taking down The Bloodline, and after that, it would just be the two of them left. He ended the confrontation by saying some risks are worth taking, and that included fighting The Bloodline.
