It is safe to say that one of the most popular babyface factions in All Elite Wrestling is The Acclaimed. The members of the group are ‘Platinum’ Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, and ‘Daddy Ass’ Billy Gunn. Recently, Bowens shared how much getting his own action figure meant to him.
Recently, one-third of the current AEW World Trios Champions shared that while he was a kid, he would pretend that his action figure of Rocky Maivia was him. Bowens did this because it was one of the few figures back then that he thought looked like him. But now that he has an AEW action figure of his own, Anthony Bowens no longer needs to pretend.
“When I was a kid, I use to pretend this Rocky Maivia action figure was me. It was the only figure that I thought looked like me. Now I don’t have to pretend anymore,” Anthony Bowens tweeted.
Anthony Bowens aims to do a Five Second Scissor, Live Scissor Celebration with Adam Copeland
One of the biggest signings of the Jacksonville-based promotion was The Rated R Superstar Adam Copeland. While speaking on the In The Kliq podcast, Anthony Bowens revealed that he wants to do a Five Second Scissor with the WWE Hall of Famer. Similar to how Copeland and Christian Cage used to pose back in WWE when they were a tag team.
“I’m excited, man,” Anthony Bowens admitted. “You can see the energy that guy brings, and we see how excited the fans were, and the company and everybody out there is just as excited. Hopefully, we get opportunities to make some memories with Adam in the ring.
“Five-second scissor, live scissor celebration. There’s so many things that we can do with him. Of course, I’d love to get in the ring and square up with him one day, so I’m very excited to have Adam, and I can’t wait to see what all unfolds,” Anthony Bowens said.
