With Jacob Fatu reportedly set to become a wrestling free agent, Major League Wrestling superstar Alex Hammerstone has taken to social media to praise the wrestler.
In a recent tweet, Hammerstone responded to claims that Fatu is now a free agent. Hammerstone said Fatu is “near the very top” of a list of best wrestlers in the world that he’s faced, and even called him his “greatest rival.” The superstar went on to say he’s excited to see where he turns up, because “there is no roster in the world where he won’t [stand out].”
Reports of Fatu’s free agency status began popping up this week. Fatu is still set to face Yuji Nagata at MLW SuperFight on February 3. There is no word on what his future holds beyond that.
Fatu is a member of the Anoaʻi family, which includes Roman Reigns and The Usos. He is the son of Sam Fatu, formerly known as The Tonga Kid and Tama. Fatu had been with MLW since 2019. He has held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship and the National Openweight Championship. He remains active on the independent scene as well.
