WWE United States Champion Logan Paul received some extra motivation from Paul Heyman at the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble.
Logan Paul defended his title against Kevin Owens at the premium live event. Their match came after the Women’s Royal Rumble and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship bout, where Roman Reigns retained the gold in a four-way.
Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul discussed the match and noted that its positioning was challenging. He recalled how Paul Heyman encouraged him to “follow that” after Roman Reigns’ title match.
“The position of the match was difficult,” Logan Paul said. “We were after the Women’s Royal Rumble and the Fatal Four-Way with Toman Reigns, where he also retained his championship, and Paul Heyman, after the match, comes out, everyone’s like chest out, they knew they just blew the f**king roof off with Roman.
“Paul Heyman goes, ‘Come here, son.’ Motions me over. I’m like, ‘What’s up, Paul?’ He goes, ‘You want some motivation?’ I go, ‘Absolutely.’ He goes, ‘Follow that, motherf*cker.’ F**k, Paul. He goes, ‘You could do it.’ Kevin, he’s ruthless, man. I’ll be honest with you. My chest is still, he has fingerprints on my chest. My shoulder [shows his bandaged shoulder]. I’ll be honest, I underestimated him. But I was playing chess, and he was playing checkers.”
