The Big Strong Boy Tyler Bate has Big Strong Goals.
Former NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate is one of the strongest wrestlers in WWE. He has made a name for himself by showcasing his strength, thus earning the moniker Big Strong Boy.
Recently, Bate was interviewed by Bernard Colas. During the interview, Bate shared that he wants to carry the largest wrestler on the roster, Omos, and do his signature airplane spin.
“For the past seven years that I have been part of the WWE, I have been saying every year, I wanna be … And I want to Airplane Spin the biggest person in the ring. So whether it is… Okay look, Omos, he’s the biggest guy in the whole of the WWE right now. So, my dream is to airplane spin Omos in the WWE,” Tyler Bate said.
Why doesn’t Tyler Bate have a mustache anymore?
For a long time, Bate had wrestled with a mustache on his face. But over the past few months, the mustache has been missing and he has a full-on beard. Recently, the former NXT UK Champion was interviewed by Metro. During the interview, the Big Strong Boy shared the real reason why he isn’t rocking a mustache anymore.
“I think I just wanted to be more handsome,” joked Bate. “I wanted to be more like – just handsome to a regular person! The mustache was working, it was fun, but I couldn’t honestly look in the mirror and say, ‘Yeah’. Like, it wasn’t a very handsome look. It was a fun look! Much more comfortable with the beard.”
“I was carrying it for a while. So I grew the mustache when I was 16 and then 20 would have been when I grew a beard out. So yeah, I had just the mustache for four years. I would go to college with the mustache, everyone looked at me like I was insane!” Tyler Bate said.
Bate also mentioned that one of the main reasons for him to have had a mustache in the first place was a fellow wrestler from the United Kingdom, Chris Brookes.
“So I wanted to grow out just the mustache. And it was him. He was living with me at the time, It was him who egged me on to do it. So I had really fair hairs at the time, really fair blonde hairs. So I’ve got my sister’s eyeliner – or whatever you use for your eyelashes – and I had this jet black, like really fair haired mustache and I looked like Groucho Marx!
“People were chanting ‘Tyler’s mustache.’ I thought, ‘Maybe I’m onto something right now.’”
