Big E Still Doesn’t Have A Timeline For In-Ring Return

Big E still does not have a timeline for his return to the ring. The fan-favorite star’s future as an active competitor remains unclear.

Big E has not wrestled since March 2022, as he suffered a neck injury during a tag team match against Ridge Holland and Sheamus. He landed on his head during a suplex by Holland, and he was stretchered away. Big E subsequently revealed that he fractured his C1 and C6 vertebrae. In August 2023, he stated that doctors had advised him not to wrestle again. He also expressed that he wanted to be smart about his future.

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Big E was asked about his neck.

“It’s all together, the bones connect to the other bones, so that’s a good thing,” Big E said.

When asked whether he had any fear about coming back, he emphasized his past comments that he wants to make the best decision for himself.

“I just want to make a smart decision,” he said. “I didn’t start wrestling to end up in a wheelchair. So yeah, I want to make sure I’m making the best decision for myself

The former WWE Champion was then asked whether he thought his return would be any time soon, and he said, “I don’t have a timeline unfortunately, but thank you for asking.”

Big E previously said his time away has been humbling, and he thanked the fans for not forgetting him.
