There are many wrestlers who have taken the acting route and have also shined in Hollywood. The greatest example of course is The People’s Champion The Rock. Recently, even Maxwell Jacob Friedman joined the elite list by playing a key role in The Iron Claw. One of the other stars on that list is WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland.
Copeland is featured as Ares in the new Disney+ series, Percy Jackson and The Olympians. Recently, TV Insider shared a special first-look clip of Adam Copeland as Ares in the fifth episode of the show. The episode is titled “A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers.”
During the episode, Copeland meets up with Percy Jackson and his friends at a diner. Adam Copeland asks Jackson and his friends, [Annabeth and Grover] for a favor. He asked them to get his shield back from a playground nearby.
“There’s an amusement park up the road. I left my shield there. You get my shield back, and I’ll get you to the Underworld by lunch tomorrow, with a plan to invade Hades’ palace…”
Upon hearing this, Annabeth made a snarky comment questioning how he left the shield at a children’s playground.
“You left your shield there? Like, forgot on the Merry-Go-Round?” Annabeth questioned.
This did not sit well with Ares. He then replied by mentioning that he is not going to deal with this any longer.
“Okay. The chirping was funny to me for a minute. But it is getting old. So, do we have a deal, or am I killing all three of you so I can eat in peace?!” Adam Copeland as Ares said.
The episode primiers on Janyary 9th.
