PCO discusses his upcoming match against Dirty Dango and his next big goal beyond that.
On January 13, PCO will take on Dirty Dango at Hard To Kill — the first event to be sanctioned under the rebranded TNA Wrestling banner. During a recent interview with the Battleground Podcast, PCO looked ahead to this match. After Hard To Kill, though, PCO plans to shift his focus to becoming the TNA World Champion.
“I’m working on a couple of things [regarding my match against Dango], but it’s just a matter of getting everything to be in order,” PCO said. “I think it should be cool, but my main focus is to get a title fight again in 2024 — a fight for the TNA World Championship. I had my match with [Steve] Maclin in 2023, it didn’t go my way. 2024, this is my main goal, this is my main objective, it’s to become a TNA World Champion.”
“So, all this to say that I’ve got a lot of respect for Dirty Dango,” PCO continued. “He’s had a hell of a career, and he might be a good guy. I think he’s a decent, good guy, but when I step in the ring, it’s destruction. That’s what I’ve got in mind. It doesn’t mean it’s gonna go my way, but that’s what I want. That’s what I train for.”
PCO was initially set to leave IMPACT/TNA Wrestling in late October, but upon talking to company President Scott D’Amore, the veteran performer extended his contract through the end of 2024.
