One of the hottest rivalries in WWE this year has been the one between Eddy Thorpe and Dijak. Throughout this year, the former Retribution member has had a lot of matches that have gotten the fans talking about to date. Be it his matches with former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee or his matches against the current NXT World Champion, The Mad Dragon Ilja Dragunov, they have all been enjoyed by fans.
Now, Dijak seems to want to treat fans with another barn burner of a match. That is going to be taking place on the last NXT episode of this year. It will be an NXT Underground Match against Eddy Thorpe.
Both Thorpe and the former Retribution member have been feuding with each other for several months. Both stars have a few victories against each other. Thorpe, despite winning the Strap Match was not done with Dijak. Earlier this year, at the NXT Deadline Premium Live Event, Thorpe showed up during the Iron Survivor Challenge match and cost Dijak the match. In the end, Trick Williams picked up the win and earned a title shot against Dragunov at NXT New Year’s Evil.
Dijak got a chance to get some retribution in a one-on-one match on the following episode of NXT. While the match ended in a Disqualification, the formerly known as T-Bar brutally attacked Thorpe. Now, Thorpe has challenged Dijak to a match at NXT Underground.
The Massachusetts-born wrestler took to Twitter to claim that he is going to have another match-of-the-year contender next week.
“Been seeing my name floating around lately on a bunch of 2023 MOTY ranking lists. All I’m gonna say is there’s one more NXT TV next week…,” Dijak tweeted.
