Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO made a surprise appearance on the December 19 episode of WWE NXT.
Dragon Lee defended the NXT North American Championship on Tuesday. He was initially set to face a member of the No Quarter Catch Crew, which turned out to be Charlie Dempsey. Before the match started, Joe Coffey of Gallus came out and made it clear that he wanted a title shot. Lee agreed to face both men. Thanks to some help from Joe Gacy, who dragged Coffey under the ring, Lee emerged victorious.
After the match, the No Quarter Catch Crew attacked Lee, but Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde of the LWO made the save.
Lee moved to SmackDown in October, and he aligned with the LWO. He returned to NXT and won the NXT North American Championship at NXT Deadline. Lee is set to defend the title on the December 22 episode of WWE SmackDown.
