Ridge Holland is back in NXT.
On the December 19 episode of WWE NXT, NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov came to the ring and discussed his title reign and his upcoming match against Trick Williams. He was suddenly interrupted by Ridge Holland, who last appeared when he walked out on Butch on the November 24 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Holland told Dragunov that he was back in NXT because he wanted to rewrite his story and prove himself. He also stated that he wanted to redeem himself, as he pointed to his history with injuries and accidents. Holland called facing Dragunov the first chapter in his redemption.
Dragunov accepted the challenge, and he agreed to face Holland later in the show.
Update: Holland faced Dragunov in the main event, and the match abruptly stopped when Dragunov seemingly suffered an injury. The NXT Champion was then stretchered out of the arena
Corey Brennan of Fightful reported that the injury was a storyline.
