Jey Uso says that challenging for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship boosted his confidence.
On the December 4 episode of WWE RAW, Seth Rollins defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso. Rollins emerged victorious, but Uso delivered a valiant effort.
Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Jey Uso discussed the match and praised Rollins.
“It felt good. I’m still not even over it,” Jey Uso said. “I’m still feeling the effects from the match, but being in the ring with one of the best, if not the best superstar on Monday night Raw, he’s been carrying Monday Night Raw for years. Seth Rollins is 100% legit in there, man. That’s why he’s at the position that he’s at.
“My hat is off to him, and nothing but love and respect to Seth Rollins. I think we gave them a hell of a main event Monday. Whenever you’re ready, man, I’m always ready to run it back. I’m always ready to do it again if the opportunity presents itself.”
Jey Uso On What He Took Away From The Match
Jey Uso was then asked to describe what he took away from the match, and he noted that it showed him he could stand on his own. He stated that he had been dealing with some self-doubt, but the match boosted his confidence.
“That I could do it, I could do it on my own,” Jey Uso said. “I’m standing on my own. Every doubt that I had within myself, being a singles competitor, I think I crossed all the boxes on Monday night, man. It boosted my confidence, for sure.”
On the December 11 episode of WWE RAW, Jey Uso is set to face Drew McIntyre. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
