Julia Hart Says It Was Really Difficult Translating Cheerleading To Pro Wrestling

One of the rising stars in All Elite Wrestling is House of Black member Julia Hart. Recently, she made history by becoming the youngest AEW Champion of all time.

It was at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view that Hart managed to capture the TBS Championship. Since then, she has been defending the title every week under house rules.

Recently, Julia Hart was on the Five Count Podcast. During the episode, she shared the hardships she faced in the transitioning period from a cheerleader to a professional wrestler.

“I think I did the cheerleader just because it was easy and I had been a cheerleader for six years. ‘Oh, it’ll be easy.’ It was actually really hard for me to translate cheerleading into wrestling because they are two different things. It was like hitting heads for me, character-wise. Being with Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews, it helped me develop a wrestler side instead of trying so hard to be a cheerleader.” Julia said. [H/T Fightful.com]

Julia Hart on winning the AEW TBS Championship

After winning the title at the Full Gear pay-per-view, Hart opened up about her victory and the fact that she’s the youngest champion in the Jacksonville-based promotion at the post-show media scrum.

“I mean, it’s crazy. I didn’t expect this to happen. I’m on cloud nine right now. I had some goals for myself this year, and I’m doing above what my goals were, so I’m very proud of myself… I’m very proud of myself now,” Julia Hart said. “I did always see myself going this path, [and] I can’t believe I’m doing it this early on in my career. I told myself, ‘Oh, when I’m 26, when I’m 26, I hope I’m on TV.’ 22 and winning a belt? I’m trying not too hard to think about it because it’s just so crazy.”
